Texas Lung and Sleep has two clinic locations — Webster and Sugar Land — positioned across the Houston metro area. Because pediatric pulmonology and pediatric sleep medicine are highly specialized fields, families often travel significant distances to find board-certified subspecialty care for their children. We welcome patients from throughout Greater Houston, the Gulf Coast, and South Texas.
Why families travel for pediatric specialty care
Pediatric pulmonologists and pediatric sleep medicine physicians are among the rarest subspecialists in medicine. In a region as large as Greater Houston, the number of board-certified pediatric pulmonologists actively seeing patients in outpatient settings is small. Families whose children have complex asthma, chronic lung disease, obstructive sleep apnea, or breathing concerns that have not responded to standard treatment often need to travel to access the level of expertise their child requires.
At Texas Lung and Sleep, we see this every day. Parents drive from Galveston County, from Brazoria County, from communities north of Houston, and from South Texas — sometimes several hours each way — because the right evaluation and the right diagnosis make all the difference. Telehealth appointments are available for follow-up visits that do not require in-person examination, reducing the burden of travel for established patients.
Sugar Land, Missouri City & the Southwest Corridor
Our Sugar Land clinic at 7619 Branford Pl, Suite 250 serves one of the fastest-growing parts of the Houston metro. Families from throughout Fort Bend County and the southwest corridor bring their children to this location for pediatric pulmonology, sleep medicine, and allergy evaluation.
Children in these communities benefit from access to the same subspecialty expertise typically available only in major medical centers, without a long drive into the Texas Medical Center. Telehealth is also available for families who live farther out in Fort Bend County.

Webster, Clear Lake, League City & the Bay Area
Our Webster clinic at 450 W. Medical Center Blvd, Suite 510 sits at the heart of the South Shore and Bay Area community. Families throughout the Southeast Houston corridor — and from the Galveston County communities along the coast — find this location accessible and convenient.
The Webster clinic also serves families whose children were cared for in area NICUs — at UTMB, Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women, and Clear Lake Regional Medical Center — and who need ongoing follow-up for prematurity-related lung conditions such as bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD).

Galveston Island, Texas City & Galveston County
Families on Galveston Island and in Galveston County communities — Texas City, Dickinson, Santa Fe, and La Marque — frequently travel to our Webster clinic for pediatric subspecialty care. Pediatric pulmonologists are not commonly located on the island, and the Webster clinic provides the closest accessible option for most Galveston County families.
The Woodlands, Spring, Cypress & North Houston
Some families from North Houston and the surrounding suburbs also make the drive to our Webster or Sugar Land clinics — particularly for children with complex or poorly controlled asthma, obstructive sleep apnea, or BPD-related lung disease requiring specialist management. The distance reflects how limited access to board-certified pediatric pulmonologists is, even across a major metro area.
For established patients from North Houston, telehealth follow-up visits reduce the need for long drives after the initial in-person evaluation is complete.
Pasadena, Baytown & East Houston
We continue to serve families from Baytown, but no longer have an office there. In-person appointments are available at our Webster and Sugar Land clinics.
East Houston families, particularly those in Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, and Baytown, travel to our Webster clinic for pediatric pulmonology and sleep evaluations. Proximity to industrial corridors in this part of Houston means that environmental exposures — including air quality concerns — can be relevant to children’s respiratory health, and a specialist evaluation is sometimes especially important.
South Texas & Long-Distance Referrals
A meaningful number of patients at Texas Lung and Sleep come from South Texas — including the Rio Grande Valley, Corpus Christi, Victoria, and communities along the Gulf Coast — where access to board-certified pediatric pulmonologists and pediatric sleep medicine physicians is limited. Families traveling these distances are typically dealing with conditions that have been difficult to diagnose or treat locally, including severe asthma, complex sleep-disordered breathing, or chronic lung conditions in children who were born prematurely.
We welcome referrals from physicians throughout South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley. Telehealth consultation is available for appropriate initial evaluations, and in-person appointments at either of our Houston-area clinics can be arranged for families who need to travel.
